How to travel to Linz

by plane:


The Blue Danube Airport of Linz is located some kilometers outside the city and offers connections to Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, London Stansted, and Vienna. There is a bus connection to the main station in Linz (Linz/Donau Hbf) - bus-table . Alternatively, you can take a shuttle (free, on demand at the airport) to the train station Hörsching and go to Linz main station by train. Additionally there is the possibility to take a taxi to Linz city Center, which costs around 35€.
The next largest airport within close distance is Vienna International Airport. There is a direct train connection from the Vienna airport to Linz main station. The train takes about two hours from Vienna to Linz and departs approx. two times an hour (see ÖBB train timetable). Additionally, there is a bus/train connection from the airport to the main stations in Vienna (Wien Westbahnhof/Wien Hauptbahnhof).
Alternatively you can go to Munich Airport and take the train to Linz or take an airport shuttle bus to Linz.


by train:

by car:

The motorway A1 connects Linz with Salzburg, Munich and Vienna, respectively. When you leave A1 at exit Linz/A7, drive on the motorway A7 in direction Freistadt and take exit 15 "Linz-Dornach". Follow the directions to JKU - Universität, to the address Altenberger Strasse 69, Science Park 3. You can park in the parking garage, below Science Park.
